September 17: Brainstorming Project Meeting

We had a great turnout for our first meeting this past week.

We discussed our upcoming waste audit, which will occur the last week of September and first week of October (exact dates TBA).

This week, we would like to open the floor to any sustainability related projects that the SURP community may have. We will be having a quick meeting to discuss this on Wednesday, September 17 from 12pm-12:30pm in SBB316.

Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to attend.

See you there!

Coming soon to a garbage near you

Labeling is key to ensuring waste gets sorted properly from the start. Sustainable SURP created two label options to clearly show what goes in what bin. During the week of March 31st to April 4th, the SURP community was invited to vote on their favourite label. This small initiative conjured up discussion and helped build momentum for starting to talk about waste management. Sustainable SURP gladly welcomes community input and gratefully thanks our peers for voting and raising important concerns. Below is the winning label that SURP students selected.
