Planning & Administration

In order to ensure sustainability remains relevant to SURP, sustainable practices and values should be integrated into the school’s current planning, administration and governance models. This means addressing the social sustainability of SURP as a place of employment, as well as developing governing structures that will guide SURP towards its sustainability goals. SURP should strive for high levels of equity and fairness as well as health and safety for full-time and contract employees, while also fostering broad participation of the SURP community in decision-making processes. The establishment of a Sustainability Committee and the election of sustainability officers to current student government will contribute to making SURP’s planning and administration as sustainable as possible.
